In the heart of San Diego’s historic Diamond District & Jewelry Exchange, our jewelers begin the process with a single sheet of solid 14K gold. There’s no laser-cut shortcut here—each name is carefully laid out based on your selected script, whether block or cursive.
From there, the gold is hand-sawn into tiny individual letters, each one roughly 3.5mm tall. The process requires absolute focus: one wrong movement, and the piece must be started again.
Every loop, connection, and curve is refined using micro-tools under magnification. Once the name is fully formed, it’s soldered link-by-link onto a delicate gold chain.
After hours of polishing, buffing, and careful inspection, the necklace is ready—lightweight, durable, and infused with intention.
