Creating this piece began with a simple but powerful word: MAMA. Our goldsmiths started with a single 14k gold sheet—chosen for its warm hue and lasting durability.
From there, we hand-sketched each letter to ensure perfect balance when worn, neither too bold nor too faint.
Each letter was carefully cut out using traditional jewelers' saws—a meticulous process that required a steady hand, a sharp eye, and hours of patience.
The edges were then refined using fine polishing wheels to achieve a soft, seamless finish that glides smoothly along the chain without catching or twisting.
Attaching the letter sliders wasn’t a step we rushed. We tested the spacing repeatedly to make sure the word “MAMA” lays perfectly, whether the necklace is centered on its own or layered with others.
Every clasp, chain, and link was selected and assembled with the intention of building a piece that could last a lifetime.
