Our Diamond White Gold Chai Necklace is a quiet yet powerful expression of heritage and hope.
Handcrafted with care in the San Diego Diamond District & Jewelry Exchange, this piece honors a centuries-old symbol through a modern lens—uniting tradition, craftsmanship, and timeless elegance in one meaningful design.
When we created this necklace, we began with the word Chai—the Hebrew symbol for “life.”
Its significance is both spiritual and personal, and we wanted to preserve that essence while reimagining the symbol in a form that feels elegant, clean, and forever wearable.
Using solid 14k white gold, we start by sketching the shape of the Chai by hand, refining its proportion so it remains true to its Hebrew form but sits gracefully on the neckline.
The charm, approximately 11x9mm, is then cut and sculpted with tools we’ve used for decades—nothing digital, nothing rushed.
Next comes the diamond setting. Each brilliant-cut stone is hand-selected for clarity and placed into a custom bezel settingalong the surface of the charm.
We use a microscope to ensure each diamond is aligned perfectly, ensuring it reflects light from every angle.
Finally, the charm is polished until it gleams and suspended on a fine 14k white gold chain, adjustable to 16" or 18"depending on your preferred fit.

From initial layout to the final polish, the Diamond White Gold Chai Necklacetakes 2–3 weeksto complete, with every detail crafted by hand in our San Diego workshop.
