Design Details
When we set out to design this necklace, we started with a word—Chai, meaning life. But it’s the full phrase, Am Yisrael Chai—“The Nation of Israel Lives”—that gave this piece its purpose.
We didn’t rush the design. Instead, we spent days studying Hebrew typography, refining the silhouette until each letter stood clear, proud, and balanced—visible from afar but elegant enough for everyday wear.
Once finalized, the phrase was carefully carved into wax using handheld tools under a magnifier. The wax was fragile—every stroke had to be deliberate, every angle sharp enough to hold its shape in molten gold.
After casting, the charm was slowly filed and smoothed by hand. Special care was taken to preserve the depth of the Hebrew lettering while giving the surface a soft, brilliant shine.
The final polish was done in natural light—an extra step we take to make sure every surface reflects beautifully, as it would when worn.
This necklace is both a celebration of heritage and a quiet declaration of strength. Its refined size and elegant shape make it easy to wear with anything, while its message ensures it always carries meaning.
