Suspended from a 16” 14K gold-filled link chain, the sharp lines of the lightning bolt pendant are clean, commanding, and perfectly polished—making it a fierce daily staple or an electrifying layered accent.
In our workshop inside the San Diego Diamond District & Jewelry Exchange, the idea for the Lightning Bolt necklace began not just as a symbol of energy, but as a tribute to the moments that spark change—those electric, undeniable shifts in your story.
Crafting this piece began with a raw sheet of thick 14K gold-filled metal. Creating the bolt shape required more than just a cut—it demanded precision carving and angular contouring by hand. The sharp bends of the bolt couldn’t be rushed; we carefully filed every corner to keep the energy in the silhouette without compromising wearability or comfort.
The most delicate step was the surface work. Lightning is about light, so we polished the gold in three phases—coarse, medium, and final luster—so the pendant would gleam with every movement.It’s not just shine—it’s reflection, echoing the wearer’s strength and edge.
Next came the chain—a lightweight, 14K gold-filled link chain,meticulously soldered and tested link by link. We chose a 16” length to frame the collarbone with elegance while giving the bolt space to strike.
Each necklace was assembled with deliberate care, the bolt aligned to hang just off-center—because we believe that perfection often lives in the beautifully imperfect.
